What is BDO?
The BDO officer is the one who implements all public welfare schemes related to public development. In addition, BDO officers are responsible for the development of their region. Therefore it is called Block Development Officer.
The Block Development Officer makes a complete calculation of what is required in his block, how to develop his block. Then makes plans for it and implements them, as the Block Development Officer is the official in-charge of the “block”.
BDO officer gets a lot of respect in the society, because it is a prestigious post. The officer sitting on this post gets the opportunity of social service along with the development of the block.
Can 12th pass students apply for BDO?
If you are 12th pass, or you are studying 12th, and you want to know whether you can apply to become a BDO after 12th or not, then let me tell you that after 12th, you can get for BDO Can not apply.
Since 12th pass candidate is not eligible for BDO. Only graduate candidates can apply for BDO, even if they graduate from any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science).
The age limit of the candidate applying for BDO is from 21 years to 30 years, and there is a provision of 3 years relaxation for OBC candidate and 5 years relaxation for SC / ST candidate.
For the post of Block Development Officer, you have to pass the Administrative Services Examination conducted by the State Public Service Commission, then somewhere you can become a BDO.
